The ST8 PL8 is cut by hand from a real Vermont license plate into the shape of the state.  Three bolts placed into the exiting bolt holes have small rubber feet to keep it securely positioned on the wall and a hang wire is run between the top two bolts.  The license plate sits 3/4" from the wall creating a distinct shadow line and dimensionality.
